Race Package Pick-Up is from 2 pm to 5pm on Saturday, May 19th at the Trek Store, 338 Catherine Street.  There will be a mandatory bike and helmet check at Race Package Pick-Up.  There will be race packages available for out of town participants on race morning from 6 to 7 am.

Heat assignments and start times will be available at Race Package Pick-Up.

The HPR Youth Triathlon West Shore is sanctioned by Triathlon BC.  All participants must be familiar with the TriBC Competition Rules.  Download a PDF version of the Competition Rules HERE.

Race Day:

Transition opens at 6:00 am on race day. The first heat starts at 7:30 am. Heats will start 30 minutes apart from the youngest age group to the oldest.  Some age groups may be combined depending on registration numbers.  Heat assignments will be provided at race package pick-up.

The transition area is divided into zones based on age group. There will be bike racks available for those athletes who wish to use them but their use is not mandatory. Athletes choosing not to use bike racks will place their bikes adjacent to the bike racks for their age group in a manner that does not interfere with other athletes. All athletes must be out of transition 30 minutes prior to the start of their heat. Participants in the 6-7 age group may have one adult assist with transition set up. No non-participants are allowed in transition during the race.  

There is a mandatory pre-race briefing on the pool deck 15 minutes before the start of each heat.  All athletes must be body marked prior to attending the pre-race briefing.

The awards ceremony will follow the last heat.  Draws for prizes will be made during the awards ceremony.  You must be present to win a draw prize.
